The way we age can reflect our general health.
By applying Chinese medicine theory, it is possible to understand
how this is relevant to your skin. We offer:
Cosmetic Acupuncture
Chinese Facial Diagnosis
Different areas of the face and neck correspond
to different organs and acupuncture channels. Chinese facial diagnosis
looks at where and what your prominent features of aging are. These
features of aging help to provide a map of your constitution.

Cosmetic Acupuncture treatment
The application of small fine needles on affected
areas helps to encourage the formation of new collagen. Through
puncturing the skin a wound response is elicited and this is what
prompts new collagen formation. Body acupuncture is applied at the
same time to support your underlying health issues and enhance this
process.
Holistic Consultation
An initial consultation will last approximately
90 minutes. At this time a thorough history of your health and skin
health will be taken. By understanding the individual mechanisms
behind your skin patterns a more personalised treatment can be administered.
Supplementary Treatments
Dietary recommendations and vitamins may also
be advised to improve the quality of your skin. An herbal formula
may be recommended.
Dermal rollers and jade rollers are available to take home. A dermal
roller is a small roller with many tiny needles. By using it daily
you may encourage the formation of collagen in the same way acupuncture
on the local area might work. It can also be used to soften and
reduce scarring. Jade rollers have been used in China for many years.
Unlike dermal rollers they do not however puncture the skin, but
rather massage the skin to promote better blood circulation and
lymphatic drainage.

sessions. The first session is 90 minutes and ongoing sessions are

Treatments
for Skin Disorders
Our skin is our largest organ. We often view
our skin as a separate entity to our internal bodies. In reality,
our skin can be a manifestation of our internal health.
Many people suffer with skin problems. Many have a profound impact
on our physical comfort and self esteem. Current treatments often
only focus on reducing symptoms rather than correcting underlying
causes, while many treatments have unwanted side effects.
Chinese Medicine and Holistic Skin Diagnosis
In Chinese medicine, no two conditions
are the same, even if they have been bio-medically defined as such.
During a consultation, your genetics, constitution, lifestyle and
environment are all evaluated to offer an individualised diagnosis
and treatment.
