| Jann Mehmet |
|
Jann Mehmet, Master in Science (by thesis candidate), Dip. Applied Science acupuncture; Dip. Chinese herbal medicine; is the founder and Director of the Rozelle Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Centre. Jann has been specialising in male and female infertility, miscarriage prevention, pregnancy support, IVF support, gynaecology and obstetrics in Chinese medicine for more than 17 years. Jann has a great deal of clinical experience in these areas. In the last five years alone she has documented over 12,000 treatments on a computer database.
Jann's practice has been based on the Balmain peninsular since 1990 and in addition to her busy practice schedule Jann commenced formal scientific research through the University of Technology, Sydney, two years ago. She has just completed a randomised clinical trial on male sub fertility ( See Clinical trial) and is also conducting research at the Rozelle Acupuncture and Chinese medicine Centre on miscarriage, unexplained infertility and pregnancy in older mothers.
Increasingly, Jann has become more concerned about the impact of environmental contaminants on health. She has found that one of the most interesting fields to clearly highlight this impact is in the area of male infertility. |

|
Sally Gole first
obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (UNSW) in 1995 which led
her to over a decade of work in the corporate field producing
Corporate Events before completely changing direction and
studying Traditional Chinese Medicine. This change in direction
came about as a result of her own very personal experiences
and lessons in the corporate world and the impact of the
long hours and stress on her health. As a result, Sally understands
the demands of corporate life and is keen to work with individuals
to help them manage the balance of work and life. After another
five years of study with a three month clinical internship
at Nanjing University Hospital (China), Sally obtained an
Advanced Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture
and Chinese Herbal Medicine).
With this corporate background
and training in Chinese Medicine, Sally is now a valuable
part of the Fertility
Health Team. She has a keen interest in providing a high
standard of treatment and support for couples trying to
conceive. Her particular passion and area of expertise
is Women’s Health and she strongly believes that
Traditional Chinese Medicine can play an important role
in treating many conditions including female infertility,
miscarriage prevention, stress, anxiety and chronic illness.
Sally
combines her knowledge of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal
Medicine to develop a treatment plan that is individually
tailored to each patient. Using a combination of Traditional
Chinese Medicine, relaxation techniques and nutritional
therapy, Sally’s treatments can help increase fertility,
immunity, vitality and general wellbeing. As with all practitioners
at the Centre, Sally uses a gentle Japanese needle technique. |
