During his 14 years of practice in the Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine profession, Peter has developed a great interest in chronic intractable conditions. Due also to his past experience working in some busy fertility and pregnancy acupuncture clinics, Peter has a strong focus on female and male reproductive health. With this combination of skills as well as his gentle acupuncture technique, Peter is a valuable member of the Rozelle Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Centre team.
Since finishing his degree in 2004, Peter has studied many systems of acupuncture and meridian therapy and has been most strongly influenced by a variety of styles of Japanese acupuncture, classical and contemporary Chinese acupuncture, and collectively, their many interpretations of classical Chinese Medicine literature. He also has a strong focus on health optimisation, and the integration of acupuncture with the Chakra system.
Peter has extensive knowledge and interest in Classical and Contemporary Chinese herbal medicine prescription and dietary modification and supplementation, as well as contemporary physical and energetic detoxification protocols.
Peter has travelled to various cities of the world to further his studies, and to gather new knowledge and skills in unique healing techniques in order to fulfil his passion for continual personal and professional development. In June-July 2014 Peter volunteered for a month as an Acupuncturist and Mentor at Vajra Varahi Healthcare in Chapagaun, Nepal, providing acupuncture to up to 100 clients each week as well as providing training for the staff at a natural medicine health clinic constructed on the grounds of a Vajrayāna Buddhist Monastery.
In 2010 Peter founded Qiology, one of Australia’s leading Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Continuing Professional Development providers, which has been providing high quality continuing professional development seminars and online seminars with international presenters to the profession since 2012. These courses assist in raising the standard of skills of the Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine profession in Australia. This has also given Peter the opportunity to train and spend time with some of the world’s most respected teachers and masters in this field.
In his spare time, apart from enjoying good food with family and friends, Peter focuses on his development in martial arts, internal energy cultivation techniques, fitness training, breath work and meditation, as well as continual study in the fields of BioGeometry, Vibrational Radiesthesia, Pranic Healing, and Esoteric Sciences. These endeavours also uniquely inform his skill set in clinical practice.
