Welcome to 2025: New Year, New Offerings

In short

What is new at Rozelle Acupuncture in 2025?

In 2025 we added two things to the clinic: an infrared light laser used alongside cosmetic acupuncture, pain management and musculoskeletal treatment, and an OEA supplement from Designs for Health. Both sit alongside our existing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine services rather than replacing anything.

Starting the year well

Welcome back after the festive season. As the new year unfolds, it's an ideal time for reflection and positive health changes: revisiting your diet, lifestyle, work-life balance, and stress management, and considering how acupuncture can support your wellness routine.

At Rozelle Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Centre, we are committed to providing exceptional, personalised care in a nurturing and relaxing environment. Our goal is to inspire, educate, and address the root causes of health concerns through a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine and modern medical science.

What is the infrared light laser used for?

We have added a new infrared light laser that generates photobiochemical reactions through high-intensity LED technology. The device is FDA-cleared and CE-marked; those are regulatory approvals for sale, not proof that a device works for a particular condition. Treatment is non-invasive, and it integrates with our existing services, particularly for:

  • Cosmetic acupuncture, where the aim is to support collagen and elastin production
  • Pain management
  • Musculoskeletal conditions
  • Hair loss treatment

We're seeing encouraging early results in combination with traditional acupuncture protocols. If you'd like the detail, we wrote more about it in Introducing Low-Level Laser Therapy.

What is the OEA supplement?

We now stock a supplement from Designs for Health, an Australian company. OEA (oleoylethanolamide) is a naturally occurring lipid messenger that is marketed as supporting appetite regulation, satiety signalling, and energy balance. It is described by the manufacturer as working through similar pathways to GLP-1 medications, as a natural, over-the-counter option.

Common questions

Usually not. In most cases we use it within an existing appointment alongside acupuncture. If a longer or standalone session makes more sense for your treatment, we'll tell you at your consultation.
We prefer to discuss supplements in consultation, so we can check it is appropriate for you and does not interact with anything you already take. Ask us at your next appointment.
Allow around 90 minutes for an initial consultation. We take a detailed health history, review any test results you bring, and you receive your first treatment in the same session.
