Your first fertility appointment is a thorough 90-minute consultation with time to tell the whole story: where you are now, what you have already been through, what your medical team is investigating, and what you would like support with. Your first acupuncture treatment is included.
The consultation includes a detailed reproductive and medical history, discussion of menstrual and cycle symptoms, Chinese Medicine tongue and pulse assessment, and a review of any blood tests, ultrasound reports, semen analysis or specialist letters you choose to bring. We also ask about sleep, stress, nutrition, medication and the practical demands of your current treatment.
This gives us a detailed picture from which to choose an individualised Chinese Medicine treatment. A Chinese Medicine pattern is a traditional framework for selecting care, not a medical diagnosis of the cause of infertility. If something needs medical investigation, we will explain why it belongs with your GP or fertility specialist.
You leave with a clear account of what we can reasonably address, how acupuncture can fit around your existing care, and when we will review whether it is useful. There is no requirement to commit to a package at the first visit.
