If you have questions, reception hours are: Monday-Saturday, 9am – 2pm.
What does an initial first consultation involve?
We are a professional team of practitioners, wishing to provide you with an excellent standard of Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, so for your first consultation, we allocate 1 ½ hours.
During your first appointment, we document your health history and provide an assessment using Chinese Medicine diagnostic techniques. We explain these techniques at the beginning of your consultation. We then provide acupuncture in the last half hour of your consultation, using very fine, light and disposable needles. We might also prescribe Chinese herbal remedies.
What to bring to your first appointment
Please bring the following:
- Any relevant reports, scans and blood test results.
- GP contact details and any relevant medical records No referral is needed from your GP. However we encourage an integrative approach so it’s useful to have contact details of your doctor and any relevant medical records.
Fees and insurance
The first acupuncture session goes for 1.5 hours and costs $170. All following acupuncture sessions go for 1 hour and cost $80.
If your private health fund covers acupuncture, then you will be able to claim a rebate. Our practitioners are registered with all private health funds. Please note: currently there are no health fund rebates for Chinese herbs and vitamin supplements. All supplements and Chinese herbal medicine remedies are an additional fee.
For your convenience we use HICAPS EFPTOS so you can claim your rebate during payment.
Chinese Medicine is not covered by Medicare.
Clinic cancellation policy: We kindly ask you to give us 24 hours notice if you need to change or cancel your appointment, otherwise the appointment fee may be requested.
